Something for the whole family
Camp Culinary helps remove the mystery of cooking for younger children. We have found that including kids in preparing food stimulates their desire to eat those foods, so we don’t skip on the vegetables. We cook simple foods that we know they will eat, that are fresh and healthy. We sneak in the lesson around the fun of playing with food.
Learning to do things for yourself is paramount in helping teens prepare for a life without as much adult guidance. Soon they will be feeding themselves and a firm grasp of knowing how to cook will pay dividends for a lifetime. Some students at this age dream of becoming a chef; to give those who have aspirations of cooking as a career, we have put together a set of classes to build a foundation of skills to improve upon as they mature.
No matter if you are seasoned cook or a person who loves good food but lacks the knowledge of how to produce it, we have classes for you. Cooking is not hard, if you are just putting together one thing. Where things get complicated is attempting to prepare multiple courses with multiple components per course. Our one-time classes and blocks of classes are great for the novice cook, while our dinner parties are awesome for the more seasoned cooks who want to add additional skill sets and dishes to their repertoire and who enjoy an evening with friends and food.
Camp Culinary offers three different types of class that are open to all students.
